Breaking News – Opening of Autism class

Good morning to all families and friends of Thornleigh
Today was a huge a milestone and celebration of access to specialist education, for Thornleigh ETNS when we opened our doors of our first Autism class. Children, parents, staff and our Chairperson Colette, all gathered together to celebrate a moment in the history of our school. Both the children and their parents could not conceal their joy and enthusiasm. All of the parents came into the Autism class with their children settled them in and then we invited them to the parents’ room for coffee, tea and cake.
We are extremely happy that we can offer the children access into their individual journey of Primary school Education, in a unique way. The pictures below tell their own story. We wish Miss Cathyann, our Autism class teacher, Emma and Ciara our wonderful SNAs the very best of luck in the class.
