HISTORY- LA REVOLUTION FRANCAISE!
As part of our History, we researched and studied the French Revolution. We created our own diary entries about The Storming of the Bastille. We really enjoyed learning about such an important event in the history of France!
LITERACY WEEK!

In January, during literacy week we done some paired reading with Miss Siobhan's First Class. We really enjoyed reading different types of books and helping the First Class students with their reading!

CHRISTMAS ART!

|
We also created some Christmas art, including pop up Christmas tress out of card , as well as Christmas decorations made from fabric and fibre!
CHRISTMAS PERFORMANCE!

|
In December we performed Scrooge for our Christmas performance! We spent a lot of time practising and both parents and children really enjoyed it!!
2D SHAPES!
Múinteoir Seá'ns class created some cool polygons out of lollipop sticks while studying 2D shapes in Maths!!

This is Muinteoir Seán's class motto, "What You Dream You Can Achieve"

In October, Múinteoir Seán's class created some fantastic art using paint and mixing the colours of Autumn!!
SCIENCE WEEK 2015!

As part of Science week, Owen from the SEAI came in and told us all about Sustainable energy and its benefits! Along with Fourth Class, we did some really cool experiments and played Guzzlers Energy Challenge which we really enjoyed! Thanks to Owen for coming in to the school!
GERMS!!
Also as part of Science Week Múínteoir Seán's class learned all about bacteria! Everyone took a sample of something different using a swab. Some examples of what we tested were: the toilet, the desk and our hair! The germs were then placed in a petri dish containing nutrient agar and placed in the boiler room. A few days later we checked the agar plates and found lots of colonies had grown! A big thank you to Miss Aoife Lynam for doing the experiment with us!
THANKSGIVING
As part of Learn Together, we learned about Thanksgiving in November. We created our own "I am thankful for..." display where we gave thanks for all the good and happy things in our lives.
